Hello, I am Heather. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas . I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, LGBTQ+ related issues, trauma and abuse, and various mood disorders. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. I am an empathetic, empowering and direct therapist. I believe in meeting clients where they are at and empowering them with tools, skills and knowledge to help them achieve their goals. I have experience in working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and identities. What should I expect in my first session?
You and your therapist will get to know each other and together you’ll decide what would be helpful to explore and what your therapeutic goals are. If you’re feeling anxious, just know that there’s no wrong way to do therapy, I will meet you where you are at and conduct therapy at your pace.
Is it confidential?
Yes. The fact that you’re doing therapy at all and anything you discuss with me is confidential. I take your privacy very seriously, your records are unavailable to anyone (including sponsoring employers) without your written consent, unless required by court order.
